Job Description:
The Director of Professional Practice (DPP) is a P.Eng. certified 0.75 FTE position. The role is to ensure that member registrants uphold standards of ethical and competent practice in alignment with legislation and Engineers Yukon's mandate to protect the public. This role provides leadership in developing professional practice programs, guidelines and resources, as well as serving as a trusted advisor to registrants and the Engineers Yukon team.
Within a year, the DPP will include the role of Registrar, assuming responsibility for discipline and complaints management. This includes ensuring that all complaints are addressed promptly and in accordance with the Engineering Profession Act, Regulations, Code of Ethics, Bylaws, and principles of natural justice.
This position reports to the Executive Director.
