- (b) teaching engineering at a university or college; « exercice de la profession d’ingénieur »
Any subsidiary of an organization or joint-venture group that has a Permit to Practice must also have one if it:
- Engages in the practice of engineering in Yukon, and
- Is a separate entity with a name that is clearly different from the parent organization or joint venture group
Applications are processed and presented to the Board of Examiners who review and recommend applications for approval to the Engineers Yukon Council. Approval is normally granted within 30 days of receipt of the completed application.

Please Note: Our membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st each year. If the company is applying proactively for the new year and neither the company nor its employees are working on any Yukon Engineering projects until then, we recommend waiting to apply in December. This will ensure that the company has the option to defer its membership for the new year.
Once your Permit to Practice application has been approved by our Board of Examiners and Council, we will send an email with further instructions on how to complete the application process. Please note that we do not have set dates for the Board of Examiner meetings.
