Engineers Yukon Discipline Process
February 4th, 2021
We are pleased to offer this learning opportunity to our membership.
No professional engineer wants to be the subject of a discipline case nor have to report another member for a professional violation, however having a robust review and discipline system is a fundamental requirement of a self-regulating profession.
Course Description: Through its complaints and discipline process, Engineers Yukon maintains the profession’s high standards of professional practice and ethics. It also disciplines practitioners found guilty of professional misconduct or incompetence. The Engineers Yukon Discipline Committee investigates complaints made against professional engineers from any complainant. This process can take a variety of routes in order to arrive at an outcome, and this presentation by Hector Campbell, P.Eng. will explain how it all works.
Introduction of the Speaker: Mr Campbell holds two degrees, a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. He has worked in the electricity sector for over 40 years, of which the last 30 have been in Yukon. He is currently Chair of the Board for Na-Cho Nyak Dun Development Corporation and several associated limited partnerships. He has been directly involved in Yukon First Nation Consultations and Project Agreements for over 25 years. Mr. Campbell is also the Chair of the Engineers Yukon Discipline Committee.
